vo hai (der.) v ritual to protect children from evil spirits [For this ritual, which is done by the mburai, tiny ants (gandif) are killed and pounded with fried black beniseed (folal). Thepounded beniseed is mixed with oil and a child's head is covered with this mixture. The ritual is believed to protect theyoung ones from contact with evil spirits and witches.
